RICHARD A. RYAN is a patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Ryan primarily practices in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and related intellectual property law. He also assists clients with capitalizing on their intellectual property by negotiating and preparing license and assignment agreements.
He lectures on intellectual property issues at the California State University, Fresno and for the Entrepreneurial Resource Center in Fresno.
Mr. Ryan graduated from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1991 and became licensed to practice law in California later that same year.
Prior to law school, Mr. Ryan worked for Exxon Company, U.S.A. from 1980 to 1988 as a petroleum engineer, where he became a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Mr. Ryan obtained an engineering degree from the College of Engineering at Arizona State University in 1980. While in engineering school, he was honored with membership in Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society.
In his spare time, Mr. Ryan enjoys backpacking, hiking, camping, soccer and travel.
