TYPES OF TRADEMARKS

Trademark - word, mark, symbol, name, device, or any combination of these that
are used in conjunction with goods (under certain circumstances this
can include color and packaging configuration) to identify the source
                of the goods.

Service Mark - same as trademarks, but used in conjunction with services instead
                   of goods.

Certification Mark - used in conjunction with either goods or services to indicate
regional origin, type of material, or certification of testing lab.

Collective Mark - used by an association of people on either goods or services to
                       indicate membership.

Trade Name (not a trademark) - though commonly confused with trademarks,
trade names are used to distinguish business
                                                   entities and identify the business.
